Practice Facility

The Jim and Carol West practice facility provides Texas State athletes a premiere college atmosphere to hone their golf skills. The facility includes two 7,000 square foot practice greens, one dedicated to putting and the second to be used as a chipping area. The USGA regulation greens are planted with Champion Dwarf Bermuda grass with two separate bunkers that includes two different types of sand.

Additionally, a 12,000 square foot tee box is used as the driving range with 6-8 push up greens used for wedge practice from 50-100 yards. The indoor facility is a 1,500 square foot building that includes two indoor hitting bays and a SAM putting lab. The programs will also be able to utilize a Trackman teaching machine, helping to gauge distance control, further enhancing the student-athlete experience.
